Detail Description
The rollers on both sides of Taper Self-Aligning Idlers are taper-shape , and the taper-shape rollers are rotating while contacting with the belt in operation. The axial rotational speed of the taper rollers is not the same, but the speed of the running belt is the same. Which will cause corresponding friction between the rollers and the belt.
When the belt runs offset, the contacting area of the side of the belt with the roller will increase as well as the friction increase between them.Thus, the offset side idler will be rotating faster towards farward, which will cause the change of the contacting angle between the idler and the belt , to achieve the purpose of the belt moving in the other direction.
