In Gambia, the manufacturing and transport sectors face significant challenges due to high humidity and saline air from the Atlantic coast. Current industrial setups often rely on outdated machinery that lacks precision alignment. The absence of specialized training idler systems in many local facilities results in belt misalignment, increasing wear and tear on the conveyor belts and reducing overall throughput.
Despite these hurdles, there is a growing transition toward importing high-grade steel idler rollers that offer better load-bearing capacity and corrosion resistance to support the country's expanding agricultural export infrastructure.
